Cookie Notice

Last updated: April 27, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how Newmen Law, P.C. ('Newmen Law,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our') uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.newmenlaw.com (the 'Website'), what choices you have, and how you can manage your preferences. This Cookie Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit the site. Cookies allow a website to recognize your device and remember information about your visit. We also use technologies that function similarly to cookies, including pixels, beacons, local storage, and software development kits, all of which we refer to collectively as 'cookies' in this Notice.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

We group cookies into three categories based on their purpose:

A. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Website to function and cannot be turned off. They are typically set in response to actions you take on the Website, such as setting your privacy preferences, filling in a form, or otherwise interacting with the site. Strictly necessary cookies do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is required to deliver the requested function. Examples include session cookies that keep the contact form working and cookies that record your cookie consent choices.

B. Analytics cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the Website. They help us understand which pages are most and least visited and how visitors move around the site. The information collected is aggregated and does not directly identify any individual visitor. We use Webflow analytics and may use Google Analytics or a similar service for this purpose.

C. Marketing cookies

These cookies, if enabled, may be set on the Website by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content on other sites. They do not directly store personal information but identify your browser and device. As of the date of this Cookie Notice, the Website does not run paid advertising campaigns that set marketing cookies on visitor devices, but we reserve the right to do so in the future, in which case marketing cookies will be set only with your prior consent.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Website are set by third-party services we use to operate the Website. These third parties may also collect information about your interaction with the Website. As of the date of this Cookie Notice, third-party services we use that may set cookies include:

We do not control how third-party services use the information they collect. Review their privacy policies for details.

4. Your Choices

A. Cookie consent banner

On your first visit to the Website, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category. Strictly necessary cookies are always on and cannot be disabled because they are required for the site to function. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the 'Cookie Preferences' link in the global footer of the Website.

B. Browser controls

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through browser settings. You can typically:

  • Block all cookies.
  • Block third-party cookies.
  • Delete existing cookies.
  • Receive a notification when a cookie is set.

Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to your browser. Note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Website may not function properly.

C. Global Privacy Control

The Website honors the Global Privacy Control ('GPC') signal where it is enabled in your browser. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for the browser and device, in accordance with Cal. Civ. Code section 1798.135 and the implementing regulations of the California Privacy Protection Agency.

D. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a 'Do Not Track' setting. There is currently no industry-standard interpretation of 'Do Not Track' signals, and the Website does not change its behavior in response to a 'Do Not Track' signal at this time. We honor the GPC signal as described above as our primary opt-out mechanism.

5. Effect of Disabling Cookies

If you disable analytics cookies, we will not be able to measure your interaction with the Website, which may affect our ability to improve the Website but will not affect your ability to use it. If you disable strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Website may not function properly, including forms and your saved cookie preferences.

6. Cookie Retention

Cookies have different lifespans depending on their purpose:

  • Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. The cookie consent banner sets a persistent cookie that records your choice for up to twelve (12) months, after which the banner will reappear.
  • Analytics cookies: Typically retained for up to twenty-six (26) months, consistent with industry-standard analytics retention.

7. Children

The Website is not directed to children under the age of thirteen, and we do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from children under thirteen. See our Privacy Policy for additional information about our practices regarding children.

8. Changes to This Cookie Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time as our practices, the technologies we use, or applicable laws change. When we do, we will revise the 'Last updated' date at the top of this Notice. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on the Website at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect.
