DRAG

Firm Story

Newmen Law, P.C. is a full-service business law firm based in Orange County, California serving entrepreneurs, startups, and established companies across every industry. We provide sophisticated legal counsel, including corporate structuring, contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance, tax planning, and ongoing general counsel services, without the overhead and opacity of a big firm.

Our clients range from first-time founders forming their initial entity to established companies managing complex multi-state operations, healthcare regulatory compliance, and significant transactions. What they share is a preference for practical, business-minded legal guidance that treats their time and budget with respect.

Whether you need a single agreement drafted or a legal department on retainer, Newmen Law is built to scale with your business.

Mission

Newmen Law exists to give business owners access to sophisticated legal counsel that actually understands business. We cut through complexity, speak plainly, and focus on outcomes. Our job is not to run up hours. It is to protect what you have built and position you for what comes next.

Values

We believe your attorney should think like a business partner, not just a lawyer. That means honest advice, transparent fees, and counsel that is built around your goals. We do not disappear after the paperwork is signed. We stay in your corner, and we keep that trust every time you call.

Our Approach

We built Newmen Law on a simple premise: business owners deserve legal counsel that understands business. That means we focus on outcomes, not billable hours for their own sake. We give you direct access to experienced attorneys. We explain your options plainly. And we structure our fees so you can plan around them, whether flat-rate, hourly, or monthly retainer.

We also believe your attorney should be part of your team, not just someone you call when something goes wrong. That is why our Fractional General Counsel program has become one of our most popular offerings: companies retain us on a flexible monthly basis for ongoing legal support, getting the benefit of in-house counsel without the in-house cost.

Let's Talk

1

Discovery call

We start by listening. You tell us about your business, your goals, and where you need legal support. We ask the right questions and give you a straight assessment of where you stand.

2

Strategy Session

We review your situation, identify your legal exposure, and map out your options. No unnecessary alarm, no vague advice. Just a clear picture of what needs to be done and why.

3

Transparent Pricing

We quote before we start. Whether it is a flat fee, hourly, or a monthly retainer, you know exactly what you are paying and what you are getting. No surprises on the invoice.

4

Execution

We get to work. Contracts drafted, entities formed, compliance built, disputes resolved. You focus on running your business. We handle the legal.

Kaveh Newmen

Managing Partner

Kaveh Newmen is the Managing Partner of Newmen Law, P.C. He founded the firm to give business owners access to the kind of sophisticated, strategic legal counsel that used to be reserved for companies with six-figure legal budgets.

Before focusing exclusively on business law, Kaveh built a wide-ranging litigation practice. He began his career at the San Diego County Public Defender's Office, representing indigent defendants in custody across county jails, state prisons, and federal detention centers. He then sharpened his litigation skills at Edlin Gallagher Huie + Blum, handling complex commercial disputes. Before refocusing the firm exclusively on business law, he led Newmen Law through complex commercial litigation and highstakes advisory matters, successfully resolving multimillion dollar disputes for prominent clients and managing legal compliance for some of the largest music festivals in the United States.

That litigation background informs everything Kaveh does on the transactional and advisory side today. He structures deals, drafts agreements, and builds compliance frameworks with the perspective of someone who knows what happens when things go wrong. His current practice focuses on corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, healthcare regulatory compliance, employment law, trademark prosecution, intellectual property strategy, and fractional general counsel services for growing companies.

Kaveh is also a legal technology innovator: he created eMiranda, a criminal law AI program and mobile application, and holds patents in blockchain ticketing technology.

He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served on the boards of both the Criminal Law and Immigration Law Societies. He earned his B.A. in Criminology, Law, and Society from UC Irvine, graduating cum laude. He was named a Scholar Athlete and recognized on the Dean's Honor Roll throughout his undergraduate career. Today, he leverages this rigorous background to serve the legal community as a Board Member of the Iranian American Bar Association of Orange County
(IABA-OC).

“I’ve worked with several attorneys before, but none have made me feel as comfortable and confident as Kaveh. From the start, he was straightforward, honest, and extremely professional. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and truly looks out for his clients’ best interests. You can tell he genuinely cares and is committed to getting the best possible outcome. Bryan Ruiz

“My son was represented by Newmen Law from the outset to the conclusion of his case. Our attorney, Kaveh, maintained meticulous oversight throughout the process. Our meetings to prepare and present our case were never rushed, always conducted with professionalism, honesty, and transparency. Kaveh possesses a remarkable rapport in the courtroom, creating a comfortable atmosphere for our son. Additionally, he has provided guidance and mentorship on our son’s future endeavors.  Kaveh will also  mentor our eldest son in establishing his business. We hired him as our attorney, and he has become an invaluable friend and confidant. I wholeheartedly recommend Newmen Law for all your legal requirements.”

Nikia Lane

“I had a great experience working with Kaveh at Newmen Law. As a new business owner, I had some confusion around structuring my company (LLC vs. corporation) and needed clear, trustworthy guidance.

Kaveh was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He walked me through the key considerations, helped me understand the implications of my choices, and answered all my questions in a very practical and straightforward way.

What really stood out was his integrity—he didn’t treat the interaction as a quick billing opportunity. Instead, he focused on building a relationship and genuinely helping me move forward in the right direction.

If you’re looking for a business attorney who is both highly competent and operates with a long-term mindset, I strongly recommend Kaveh and his firm.”
